COOPERATION

The cooperation Die Privathoteliers was founded in 2008 on the initiative of private hoteliers. Members are privately run 4* and 5* hotels that are expanding their market position through synergies. Based on transparency and trust between the hoteliers, topics are addressed that are relevant to the individual businesses.

Thanks to network purchasing and an internet-based ordering platform, considerable savings have been achieved in purchasing in recent years. Personnel management and innovations are further topics that are regularly addressed in the cooperation.

Cooperation Advisory Board

The Cooperation Advisory Board acts as a supervisory body for the cooperation. Its main tasks are to decide on the admission of new cooperation partners, to monitor the cooperation management and to support decision-making on strategic issues relating to the direction of the cooperation.

The figures speak for themselves: for the product groups that we already purchase via the platform, we achieve savings of 20 to 25 percent in some cases.

By bundling purchasing volumes, participating suppliers can offer their products to a large sales group with just one negotiation. All cooperating hotels commit themselves to a uniform payment cycle, so that planning security is created.

EMPLOYEES

Personnel management

In view of the imminent demographic change and the competition from chain hotels, the cooperation is breaking new ground.

  • Employee exchange
  • Development of a uniform trainee program
  • Exchange of experience between HR managers
  • Joint training courses

Employee benefits

The private hoteliers offer all employees of the cooperating hotels heavily discounted hotel rates. The "Staff Rates" enable employees to enjoy the cooperation hotels at sensational conditions. Every employee of the cooperating hotels receives access to corporate benefits, an online provider of employee offers. The product categories include finance, cars, travel, fashion, leisure and culture. Click here for the online access

In addition, individual cooperating hotels offer employee cards that allow discounts of up to 25% at a number of well-known partners in the area (cinema, supermarket, pharmacy).

INNOVATION

Hoteliers face new challenges every day. It is difficult for individuals to develop and implement innovations. For this reason, the cooperation members support each other. Among other things, business tools, scientific work and IT software that support hotel processes are discussed and implemented. The regular controller lunches provide a framework for the exchange of innovation.

Sustainability

"The focus is on people" could be the credo that has been successfully lived by our hotels for several generations. It is therefore not surprising that we are aware of our ecological and social responsibility. However, each hotel has made its own individual contribution to sustainability.

In order to take advantage of synergies on this topic, CSR certification by the leading certification company in tourism, TourCert, has been underway in three cooperating hotels since this year. All cooperating hotels are to be encouraged to obtain CSR certification in the coming years so that professional and transparent sustainability controlling can be established.
