An eco-human market economy, ecological sustainability as well as ethics and social responsibility in business, politics and society are further goals of the Senate of Economy - goals that Fäßler at the Sonnenalp Resort has also been actively pursuing for years.
"It is a great honor for me to be appointed to this committee, which is committed to ecological and economic sustainability and thus to the creation of a sustainable foundation for a future-proof society worth living in," explains Fäßler after the award ceremony. "These premises coincide with my very personal entrepreneurial goals and I am very proud to now be able to advocate for them in a broader public sphere."
The Sonnenalp CEO received the certificate of appointment on November 22, 2013 as part of the Senate Annual Convention at the Bavarian State Parliament in Munich. The certificate was presented by the Chairman of the Board of the Senate of Economy, Honorary Consul General Dieter Härthe, the former Chairman of the Finance Committee in the German Bundestag, Dr. Volker Wissing, and the Director of the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI), Prof. Dr. Thomas Straubhaar.
COMMITTED TO THE COMMON GOOD
The Senate of Economy is made up of personalities from business, science and society who are particularly aware of their responsibility towards the state and society. The association thus revives the traditional idea of antiquity, when the senates functioned as a circle of independent thinkers who were committed to the common good rather than particular interests.
The Senate of Economy is also purely oriented towards the common good and is in constant dialog with representatives from politics and science. Honorary Senators Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Prof. Günther Verheugen, Prof. Klaus Töpfer, Rosi Gollmann and the active advisor Prof. Roman Herzog are exciting sources of inspiration, along with many other experts.
